December 12th is five years to the day Keiko passed from us.
The last picture I drew of Keiko was over two years ago, and with a bit of a milestone coming up, I wanted to do something special to remember the orca that I adored a lot in my younger years. So here's something special as a tribute to my favourite orca. This is also, my first picture, coloured, shaded and such by the tablet. I hope to do more as time passes on. A great big thank you goes to *Kameira, who helped tutor me with the basics of using Photoshop to make this a very impressive picture. (And also the bubble brush she created for me) Big image. They say the world a nasty place. You know what? SCREW THAT! I'm going to live the way I want to live.If anyone complains about my mistakes, and put me down, then they are incapable of forgiving or understanding individuality!
I once donated some money to the Free Willy Foundation (I think that's what they called it) that went towards building his new tank. Though, if I remember right, I don't think he got a chance to spend a lot of time in it.
Why do orcas' dorsal fins flop over when they're in captivity? I think there was an explanation in Free Willy, but I can't remember what it was.
